Recent reports showing the rate of declining home prices beginning to slow have analysts at Barclays Capital predicting a drop of only another four or five percent before stabilization. But while efforts to temporarily stall the number of foreclosures on the market have helped keep prices from falling even further, it has also left an overhang of distressed inventory that will likely prevent prices from rising over the next few years.
